Glass launches AI features for government procurement marketplace

Glass released seven categories of AI-powered upgrades to G-Commerce, its government procurement marketplace, including enhanced search, analytics, and quote-request tools targeting federal agencies and public schools. The move positions Glass to capture a larger share of the $40 billion in annual federal government purchases and $1 trillion public school spending market, offering commerce teams a specialized B2B channel with AI-driven buyer intelligence.

Glass, a government procurement-focused tech company, announced the public release of multiple AI-powered features for G-Commerce, its marketplace website (Digital Commerce 360 - AI). The company has processed over $15.2 million in government purchases since launching in 2020 (Digital Commerce 360 - AI) and now serves at least 125 public agencies and 60,000 government users (Digital Commerce 360 - AI).

The seven new capabilities include AI-powered product search and discovery, improved dashboards and analytics, updated navigation, order tracking, product reviews, quote request features, and an expanded supplier network (Digital Commerce 360 - AI). Glass is targeting the $40 billion in annual purchases made by federal agencies through Government Purchase Card programs, which represent more than 250,000 cardholders, and the $1 trillion market represented by at least 100,000 public schools with 49 million students in the U.S. (Digital Commerce 360 - AI). For B2B commerce practitioners, this signals a growing opportunity in government and education procurement channels where AI-driven search, analytics, and buyer workflows are becoming table stakes for suppliers and marketplace operators.
