Mastercard: Teens trust AI shopping assistants more than parents

A Mastercard survey found that 31% of teenagers trust AI product recommendations over a friend's advice, and 23% would trust AI guidance over their parents', compared to just 16% of parents likely to use fully AI-run shopping assistants. This generational shift signals that retailers must design AI tools to capture teen shoppers who are adopting autonomous purchasing agents at twice the parental rate.
