Bloomreach has introduced Loomi, its AI intelligence layer for customer engagement that powers personalized emails, search results, and campaigns across all its apps and agents in real time. Loomi currently personalizes customer engagement for more than 1,400 global brands, including American Eagle, Sonepar, and Pandora.
What sets Loomi apart is its edge-computing architecture: it makes decisions at the moment of customer interaction—during a search, browse, email open, or SMS tap—rather than in batch upstream from a data warehouse. Loomi evaluates each customer as an individual using their full behavioral history and in-session signals, applies the right AI model for each task (deterministic rules, predictive ML, or generative AI), and enforces cross-channel governance policies (frequency caps, suppression logic, engagement signals) across email, SMS, web, app, push, and ads. This real-time, closed-loop approach allows Loomi to learn and refine decisions continuously: every click, open, and view feeds back into the models, sharpening recommendations and rankings with each interaction.
For commerce practitioners, Loomi's edge intelligence model addresses a critical gap in traditional warehouse-based personalization: while data warehouses excel at historical analysis and batch-mode segmentation (which can take hours to build), Loomi optimizes for millisecond-level decisioning that captures warm moments—the add-to-cart, the checkout, the browse session—before they cool. The platform also offers Loomi Connect, which allows businesses to tap into Loomi's intelligence via APIs, webhooks, and MCP to bring it into third-party apps and agents.
