Shopify Spring Edition launches four agentic commerce features

Shopify announced its Spring Edition with four major agentic commerce features: Agentic Admin for managing AI storefronts, Shop Campaigns expanding to ChatGPT and Pinterest, Sidekick App Extensions for third-party integrations, and a personalized shopping assistant in the Shop App. Commerce teams can now track AI channel performance, optimize product visibility across answer engines, and embed AI agents deeper into their merchant and buyer workflows.

Shopify announced its Spring Edition featuring four major agentic commerce capabilities (Retailgentic). Agentic Admin gives merchants a unified dashboard to manage orders and sales from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, and Shop, with search intelligence showing top AI queries in their category and a Knowledge Base feature surfacing unanswered questions from AI agents (Retailgentic). Shop Campaigns, Shopify's performance marketing product, now spans Pinterest, ChatGPT, and the open web via Microsoft Monetize, with merchants paying only on conversion (Retailgentic).

Sidekick App Extensions connect third-party apps to Shopify's merchant-facing chat assistant, enabling AI-powered answers and actions across the full tool stack from a single conversation (Retailgentic). Launch partners include Klaviyo, Loop, Judge.me, and 12+ others, with no additional cost to developers or merchants (Retailgentic). The Shop App now includes a personalized shopping assistant in search that learns buyer preferences over time and provides recommendations shaped by purchase history and browsing behavior (Retailgentic).

For commerce practitioners, these features represent a shift toward AI-native storefronts where merchants gain visibility into how their products rank across multiple answer engines and can optimize product data, while buyers receive conversational, personalized discovery experiences that deepen engagement and conversion potential across owned and third-party channels.
